Hey, I'm a native German and a translator myself but thanks for the recommendation :)
Not sure if I ever update this game again :D

Played your game :) Interesting, especially the choice at the end. It's one many make in the same situation, whether to leave or stay the same until it's potentially fatal. There was a little lag for me at the start but it smoothed out after a few minutes. Liked the graphics. Thanks for creating!

There was a few bugs in this game, but we still enjoyed it! The topic you used in this game was good, It still a problem in our world and we need to stop this kind of abuse.  Keep it up!

Wow, Melanie. Wow. I'm really moved by this.

Glad you liked it :)

(+1)

I did. And, it's totally inspired me to start a side-project. I still haven't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :P

(+1)

In your case I'd say it's a good thing. :D

Very well done! Definitely an important message. I did manage to find a small bug where if you click on an item and put it back and then click again it plays the VO again. Wasn't an issue that stopped me though. Played twice and about to see if I can make myself fly on the 3rd time :)

You can do it! I believe in you! Maybe I won't fix the bugs 🤔😁

great way to deliver a massage that seems like its not being  spoken as much as it should be, great story, creepy atmosphere, keep up the great work!

Thank you for playing my game :)

Really darky, not only in its visual style but also on the main topic.
A well-execteud sagebrushian narrative walking sim short horror adventure. Just download it and take the time to get lost in those woods! :)

Thanks so much! <3

Last game I played. I liked it

Thank you for playing :)

We didn’t know what we were getting Into https://youtu.be/xTNGQcBQz90

Thanks a lot for playing my game :) The bugfix version will be out asap!

(+1)

Good atmosphere, very dark subject and works mostly as a message, but also has a choice at the end, I like how it tests the player like that. Played a couple times to see both endings and also to get randomly lost in the woods.

The theme/story is very dark but needs to be addressed and I feel like the game does a really good job doing that. Well done.

Found a couple bugs, but no big deal, bonus points for using Unity haha

(+1)

Thanks a lot! Bugfix version will be published asap, so hopefully no bugs anymore then :)

(+1)

Last game. Didn't expect the theme. Great job.

Thank you!

This is an excellent game ! It did make me angry, but people need to know that there is some hope in  situations like this!  I have Sisters and cousins. Anyways,  I love the game.  Third game play. Please subscribe !

Thanks a lot! :)

This game is AWESOME. Whether it was the style, the horror, the audio, or just the concept itself, I LOVED it. Very inspiring, and I wish you luck with future projects :)

I'm glad you liked it :) And thank you!

(+1)

Definitely went left although I almost went right just to keep exploring the forest as it was so immersive! You have done a really nice job! Looking forward to what's next!

Thanks a lot! Did you find some interesting stuff? :D Maybe I should add an easter egg for v1.1!

I did! I replayed it to see what happens when you go right no spoiler but it just gave me the creeps!

Thank you, great video! :)

A short but great experience! Nice work :)

Thanks so much :)

Beautiful voice acting and storytelling. It felt like Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch. Really good job, congrats.

(1 edit) (+1)

The voice actress is amazing, right?
Thank you so much :) Didn't have that in mind but it is an honor to be compared to it!

(+1)

I see you're really happy about those reviews so I'll drop something nice too :D Well, from the technical side the game is kinda badly optimized. For my eye it's because of the tree count. Got around 40FPS on potato with RX 580 (~gtx 1660) graphics card... That's not a problem anyways... The game itself really shows something. Also, I feel kinda stupid to ask, but was the game about uh.. violence in family? or something? I'm not perfect at English, and espeicially at listening. What did actually happen there?

(+1)

I don't want to spoiler too many people :)
So,

SPOILER/CN

It's about a woman, who wakes up in a dark forest (a limbo so to say) and doesn't know where she is and what she's doing here. While walking down a path she finds some memories and tells her story again (husband is abusing her and beats her up several times). At the end of the path, she can decide if she wants to wake up from her coma again but has to live without him or stay in limbo to find him and stay there "forever together".

Same my framerate was really low, i could not really play, and i agree it's probably the trees.. :S

A beautiful and emotionally engaging game. Such an inspiring way to spread awareness on highly important topics. As your first game, I'm so impressed. Never stop creating!

Thanks a lot!
And thanks for recommending Tabitha :D

(+1)

You did a great job and I liked the storytelling

(+1)

Thanks a lot and great video!

(+1)

This game really hit me in a different way...
Such a strong and important message, and the atmosphere is done well too

And I also just read that it's actually your first game, that's awesome!
Really good job

Thank you so much, also for the video, really liked it :)

(+1)

Great game dev and good and sad story

Thank you! :)

(+1)

Of course left

Good choice :)

(+2)

A powerful, and important, experience. Highly reccomended.

Thank you so much! :)
Yours is such a great game as well!

(+1)

Short, but very atmospheric and has a wonderful message.

This is honestly a rather incredible experience, and Arkania's efforts definitely paid off. Keep making games; I look forward to anything else you create.

I'm so excited still, I wanna start the next one :D
(but first I'll do some bug fixes)

Thanks a lot!

(+1)

What a short Nice game Arkania!

Thank you so much :)
GF7 ftw!

In Memorabilia, the player is  quickly swept away into a dark yet sobering natural world where memories of the past are once again at the forefront of your mind. Be wary of straying from the path, especially if one sees a momentary glimpse of light. You. Will. Get. Lost. In the end, the player must make a choice. Did you make the "right" choice?

I'm so glad you liked it! And thanks for the gameplay video :)

(+2)

Very nice story :) good job m8.

(I played on R5 2600 + RX 5600 XT and the framerate was a bit low at the beginning)

Thank you so much!
Did you change the settings or did you play it on high?

I played in High, but I also tried in "potato" and it goes between 30 and 50/60. It seems very tough to run, I hope it helps you :)

(+1)

Yes it does, will put that on the list :) thx!

(+1)

Just played through it, a strong message. I like it, well done!

Thanks a lot :)

(1 edit) (+1)

This is quite good for a game for your first game, very impressive. The voice acting is very good and audio is a nice touch, really adding to the immersive atmospheric environment. I really wish I could explore more of the forest, but I get its not the point of the game :)

Notes:

- The frame rate is very low which makes moving the camera feel a bit janky.

- I ran into a bug when you stand too close to the keys it breaks the game I can't not control it anymore.

(+1)

Hey,
glad you liked it!
And also thanks for letting me know.
Regarding the FPS you could try to switch to medium (or potato) that mostly helps.
The key bug is already noticed (and mentioned in the description) and that's the first thing I will have a look into for the next version!
Thank you :)
